Actor Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas surprised everyone as they announced that they have welcomed their first child via surrogacy.

Before Priyanka and Nick, there have been a bunch of celebs who have grown their family via surrogacy, let's take a look: 

Actor Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas surprised the entire world with the announcement of their baby girl!

Priyanka shared a post on Instagram, tagging Nick and stating, "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's youngest son AbRam was born through surrogacy on May 27, 2013. The couple also shares Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan. '

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta and her husband Gene Goodenough become proud parents to twins Jai Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough via surrogacy in the year 2021.

"Hi everyone, I wanted to share our amazing news with all of you today. Gene & I are overjoyed & our hearts are filled with so much gratitude & with so much love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough & Gia Zinta Goodenough into our family. Actress Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra welcomed their second child Samisha via surrogacy in September 2020. The couple is also parents to seven-year-old Viaan. 

Actor Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, who had parted ways, welcomed their first son Azad Rao Khan through surrogacy in 2011. The ex-couple opted for surrogacy after Rao faced miscarriage and medical complications

Former couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their third child, Chicago West, and fourth child, Psalm West, via surrogacy. The couple made this decision after Kim suffered a potentially life-threatening condition called placenta accreta during both previous pregnancies. The couple also shares a son, Saint, and daughter, North.

Amber Heard surprised the world with her baby announcement last year. The 35-year-old actress confirmed the happy news that she had welcomed a baby girl, Oonagh Paige Heard via surrogacy, in the year 2021. 

By posting a picture on social media, she wrote, ''I'm so excited to share this news with you," Heard wrote on Instagram, sharing a pic of her and her daughter relaxing together. "Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib."

"A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this," she added. "My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life."

Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban share two daughters together. The couple welcomed their second daughter, Faith Margaret, via a surrogate in December 2010. The couple also share daughter Sunday Rose, 13.

Speaking of the woman that carried their child, the actress added: "She was the most wonderful woman to do this for us."

 

Legendary singer Elton John and his husband David Furnish had two sons via surrogacy. Elton and David welcomed their first son into the world in 2010 and proudly announced the birth of their second boy in 2013. The couple worked with the same surrogate mother both the times. 

Hilaria Baldwin and Alec Baldwin surprised fans when they announced the birth of their daughter Maria Lucia in March 2021. The couple shares six kids together. Maria was born just months after Hilaria gave birth to their son Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas in September 2020. 

While Baldwin gave birth to their first five kids, but their sixth was born via surrogate.

 

Ace filmaker Karan Johar is a single father, he welcomed twins- Yash and Roohi Johar in February 2017 via surrogacy.
