Hyundai, KIA recall 92k vehicles in US. Here’s why 

Hyundai and Kia have recalled 92,000 new vehicles in the US due to fire risks. As many as 52,000 vehicles from Hyundai and 40,000 vehicles from Kia are covered under the recall.

The recall includes Hyundai 2023-2024 Palisade, 2023 Tucson, Sonata, Elantra, and Kona models and 2023-2024 Seltos and 2023 Kia Soul, Sportage vehicles.

Owners of the recalled cars of Hyundai and Kia have been urged to park them outside and away from residence till repairs. 

Kia said it has six reports of potentially related thermal events but no accidents or injuries while Hyundai cited four similar reports.

Hyundai has told dealers a rental vehicle should be provided to customers who do not feel safe operating their vehicle until a recall fix is available.
