MISSION SMART CITIES 2020: MAKING INDIA SMART - WION's latest initiative focuses on the future of smart cities in India and the current real estate outlook. The Smart City initiative was launched in 2015 in India, with the agenda to promote core infrastructure and sustainable life for citizens. With the idea to use smart solutions and technologies to get Tier II and III cities wherein Indias tremendous talent pool resides. Union Budget 2018-19, Smart Cities Mission received an allocation of INR 2.04 lakh cr, covering selected 99 cities.
