Baby has arrived! Timeline of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt's adorable moments together

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor embraced parenthood with open arms on Sunday as the actress gave birth to a baby girl in Mumbai. After years of dating and marriage speculations, the couple tied the knot in April this year. As the couple celebrate the arrival of their little munchkin, let's check out some key moments of their relationship.

On November 6 (Sunday), Alia gave birth to a baby girl in a hospital in Mumbai. Before the delivery, Alia's father Mahesh Bhatt confirmed that she's has been admitted to a hospital. While speaking to ETimes, Bhatt said that he's waiting for "new sun to rise".

Months after Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor married at their Mumbai flat in an intimate ceremony, the actress posted on Instagram that she and Kapoor are expecting their first baby together. The couple married earlier this year after dating for nearly four years. They two fell in love while working together in Ayan Mukherjee's film 'Brahmastra'. 

The actress shared a photo where she and Ranbir can be seen staring at a monitor and wrote, "Our baby ….. coming soon."

Five years back, Alia and Ranbir come together to work on Ayan Mukerji's dream project 'Brahmastra'. Back then, no one would have thought that they would come this long. 

When the couple was shooting in Bulgaria, the rumours of their dating took all the headlines. 

In 2018, after months of rumours, the couple stepped out together to attend Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's reception, but what took everyone's attention was Alia and Ranbir, hand in hand, Alia in green lehenga and Ranbir Kapoor in a white sherwani - adorable.

Ranbir Kapoor is not on any social media platform, but Alia is and she's quite an active one. Soon after they attended the Sonam Kapoor's reception together, Alia shared the first post that was dedicated to her love, Ranbir on his birthday. Sharing a picture of him, she wrote ''Happy Birthday Sunshine.'' 

The same year, Alia joined Ranbir's family for a New year's celebration in New York where late actor Rishi Kapoor was getting treated for cancer. Neetu Kapoor shared pictures on her Instagram with the family's new addition.

In 2019, Alia won her first Filmfare for Best Actress and the same year Ranbir also won an award for 'Sanju'. So when Alia went on stage, she gave us one of the cutest moments. 

After taking the trophy, during her acceptance speech, she simply said “I love you” and yet made it one moment that will be cherished for life long.

After making their love Instagram official, Alia Bhatt has continuously time and again shared beautiful updates about their relationship - when they are working, when on holiday and when spending some time on a yacht under the sun. 

In 2020, in an interview, Ranbir Kapoor talked about his marriage plans and said the deal would’ve been ‘sealed’ if the “pandemic not hit our lives”. “I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life,” he said.

When Alia was promoting her 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', she was asked about Ranbir's old comment on marriage, to which Alia replied that she's already married to Ranbir, in her head, obviously.

Responding to Ranbir's answer, she said, "He is right but, in my head, I am married to Ranbir, in fact, I am married to Ranbir in my head for a long time."

"Everything happens for a reason. Whenever we do get married it will work out right and in a beautiful way," Alia Bhatt added.
