OTT seems to have charmed the leading ladies of Bollywood too. The 90s actresses including Madhuri Dixit, Raveena Tandon, Kajol, Karisma Kapoor are taking up (well deserved) meaty roles and carving a new space for them. Whether it's Aranyak for Raveena or Aarya for Sushmita, the audience is happy that they are killing it and how!

Sushmita Sen stunned us with her fierceless comeback in Disney+Hotstar's 'Aarya' in the eponymous show that showed her as a mother of three. A stunner who ceases to amaze us with her beauty has been receiving rave reviews for her comeback project.
The show traces her journey in becoming a mafia queen who seeks revenge against those who killed her husband. While doing so, she also takes care of her three kids.
The crime-thriller stars Sushmita Sen, Chandrachur Singh, Namit Das, Ankur Bhatia, Vikas Kumar in pivotal roles. The show has run for two seasons and is in talks to be renewed for another season.

There’s murder, there’s a lot of political ploy but this is a Raveen Tandon show and she looks brazenly confident as she makes a comeback to the screens in way of her OTT show ‘Aranyak’ in which she plays a cop.
Stuck between professional and familial duties, Raveena Tandon plays the balancing act between being a mother and a family-oriented woman and a cop who wants to not lose an opportunity when a murder case falls on her lap.
The show stars Raveena Tandon, Parambrata Chatterjee, Ashutosh Rana, Zakir Hussain, Meghna Malik, Indraneil Sengupta in important roles. The show premiered in 2021 and had eight episodes. It has been greenlit for season 2.

Karisma Kapoor was possibly the first one to foray into OTT from that crop of actors who enjoyed stardom in 90s and are back to give us fans some more of her acting talent. She led the way with ‘Mentalhood’ in which she played an imperfect mother and started a talk around the need to be okay with those flaws.
The series explores the multitasking nature of different types of mothers and their ways in leading the best upbringing of their children.
The series stars Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Suri, Sandhya Mridul, Shilpa Shukla and Shruti Seth. It premiered on Zee5 and ALTBalaji.

Kajol has not really been away from the big screen but when she made it to OTT it was quite a big deal. She opened her account with OTT in the way of Netflix’s women-centric movie titled ‘Tribhanga’, which captured the emotion of women from different generations. The movie follows the journey of three generations of women who interact on a deeper level and find out disturbing details of their past when the eldest of the three falls into a coma and the other two decide to contribute to her biography in making.
The film stars Kajol, Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar, and revolves around a dysfunctional family of three women and their unconventional life choices.
Tribhanga was originally supposed to be a small Marathi film but later turned into a Hindi Netflix original as Kajol and Siddharth P Malhotra got on board.

Lara Dutta, former beauty queen and currently an actor has never stressed too much about work. With a few comedy and romantic films in her kitty, Lara made her OTT debut this year with Zee5 project ‘Kaun Banegi Shikharwati’ as she plays the daughter of a king.
The show follows a former king who has a dysfunctional family as he devises an outlandish plan to unite his estranged daughters. Meanwhile, an income tax investigation looms over the palace's hidden treasure.
The show stars an ensemble cast of Raghubir Yadav, Naseeruddin Shah, Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan, Anya Singh, Cyrus Sahukar, and Varun Thakur in leading roles.

Madhuri Dixit is set to make her digital debut with ‘The Fame Game’ as the first look poster of the series was released on social media. The series was earlier titled 'Finding Anamika'. It will stream on Netflix on February 25.
'The Fame Game' is all set to take viewers on a rollercoaster ride through the highs and lows of superstar Anamika's life (played by Madhuri), revealing hidden truths and painful lies. The description of the show reads as, "Bollywood icon Anamika Anand has it all but is her life perfect or a perfectly crafted facade? In a world of glitz, glamour and fame - the lines of what is real and what is not can often be blurred."
The show stars Madhuri Dixit, Manav Kaul, Sanjay Kapoor, Lakshvir Saran and Muskaan Jafferi in important roles.

Tabu made her grand digital debut with BBC television drama miniseries ‘A Suitable Boy’ directed by Mira Nair and adapted by Andrew Davies from Vikram Seth's 1993 novel of the same name. Set in the backdrop of post-independent India, A Suitable Boy follows four linked families in North India, where the story revolves around Mrs. Rupa Mehra who is in search of a suitable husband for her youngest daughter Lata. Meanwhile, the daughter is torn between her duty towards her mother and the idea of romance with her suitors.
Tabu played the role of Saeeda Bai who catches the fancy of a young boy (played by Ishaan Khatter). The series stars Tanya Maniktala as Lata, with Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Rasika Dugal, Mahira Kakkar, Ram Kapoor, Namit Das, Vivaan Shah, Mikhail Sen, Danesh Rizvi, Shahana Goswami, Ranvir Shorey, Vijay Varma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
A Suitable Boy globally premiered on Netflix (excluding North America and China), with all the six episodes that were released on 23 October 2020.
