Jones is now looking forward to defending his heavyweight title for the first time against former champion Stipe Miocic. "One thing I know about the UFC, is we give the fans what they want to see. Stipe, I hope you're training. You're the greatest heavyweight of all time. And that's what I want. I want you real bad."
Jones, 35, is the former light-heavyweight champion and is regarded as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. Sunday's victory proved that he could be just as successful at the heavyweight division as he was in light-heavyweight.
There were concerns about whether a time off of three years would affect Jones' efficiency inside the octagon. His last fight was on February 8, 2020, in a unanimous decision over Dominick Reyes.
However, Jon Jones proved everyone wrong.
