As ChatGPT maker OpenAI reached an agreement with Sam Altman to return as the company CEO, the company also agreed to reconstitute the board of directors which had earlier dismissed him.
A report by the news agency Reuters said the new board will include former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, former co-CEO of Salesforce Bret Taylor, Quora CEO and current director Adam D’Angelo.
Cornell professor Sarah Kreps told Reuters that the new board appears to be more aligned with Sam Altman’s vision of accelerating the development of AI while also ensuring safeguards were in place.
