Something that I been prompted to think about is the validity and impact of my research given my ‘whiteness’ or non-indigeneity. How will I be able to comprehend and represent in a ‘true’ form the stories of Yolngu women? Women who make the world according to a different epistemology to me? Is this where the experience of ‘being with’ has agency? There are a number of ways that I am starting to relate to the idea of being with. I feel like I want to immerse myself in it – not long now until I’m back in Mäpuru!
